Job description

We are a Swiss management consulting company with a global footprint and trusted partner to financial services providers, solving their biggest challenges and helping businesses evolve to capture the potential of the new economy. Currently, we are looking for a highly competent IT business analyst to support the technology team to help with developing and maintaining insurance tools. Our technology team is going through an exciting period of growth, as the IT business analyst you will assist the IT development teams with maintaining existing systems.  Your Tasks • Work across a number of key projects with engineers to communicate business requirements to facilitate small change and BAU • Manage requirements and associated changes through the project lifecycle • Review impacted business processes and work with business stakeholders to identify and make business process improvements that result in cost savings, higher quality, increased efficiencies, lower risk, and shorter cycle times • Work with stakeholders and associated business units to reduce resistance • Elicit and document business requirements, business processes and flows, and user system requirements • Makes recommendations on best practices for process and system improvements. • Actively engage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to support participation through discovery and execution • Work in small agile teams and document requirements and acceptance criteria in the form of user stories • Help transition projects to BAU and set up a process for this

Personality requirements and skills

• Strong experience within integrated software development • Strong experience working within the integrated software environment • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to organise meetings and prepare clear software documentations • Proven ability to write user stories in Jira, including strong acceptance criteria • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to negotiate with multiple businesses and stakeholders to find solutions for technical challenges • Excellent critical thinking skills and an open-minded mentality for new ideas • Excellent software development skills such as testing and designing • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy • Excellent data analysis and mapping skills • Understanding of API development and issue identification • Basic understanding of SQL
